The Yummilicious Ipoh.

Food, food, and food. There is an abundance of food in Ipoh. Everywhere you go, there is bound to be a hawker centre selling mouth-watering food. Famous Ipoh cuisine. The thought of it can simply make YOU drool right now and then. The power of food. Yummmmmmmmy!

Just spent 4 days 3 nights in Ipoh, thanks to Grace's family who welcomed me to their house with open arms. (: And not to forget, her doggie, Chester welcomed me too...in an unexpected way that is - by humping my leg. Chester is a pervert. Grace, your dog needs to get laid... =P

This is Grace Foo. She is this shy. =P

Chester - the guy who humped me (my leg).

He sleeps in the weirdest position you can ever imagine.

All i did in Ipoh was to eat and eat and eat... and... i went for this eyebrow-shaping service at one of their shopping malls! LOL. Now i have neater eyebrows... but i need to maintain it though. Have to tweeze my eyebrows when it grows longer. I know i'm vain. Shoot me.

Since Ipoh is all about food, i shall let the food do the talking. Hold your breath... here we go...

Meatball soup which goes together with the Hakka Mee.

The oh-so-delicious Hakka Mee. I almost fainted on the spot because I didn't expect it to be so delicious. Yeah, it was so oh-my-God delicious. You should just witness my facial expression at that time. Grace laughed her head off. Heeeeee.

The oh-so-famous 'kai si hor fun'. It literally means shredded chicken slices kuey teow soup. Ipoh is all about 'kai si hor fun'. Trust me.

There you are. A bowl of 'kai si hor fun' which is FREAKING CHEAP and GOOD. RM2.50 per bowl! Where else can you find 'kai si hor fun' at such a cheap price?

'Yamm Kok Kai'. It means salted baked chicken in Cantonese. I think my Cantonese-speaking ability/skill is improving. No?

Had supper with her parents at this cosy little ice-cream parlour. I shared this ice-cream (4 scoops) with Grace. However, i still prefer Baskin Robbin's/Ben & Jerry's/Haagen Dazs/Bud's. =P

We had dim sum at this shop in the morning. So damn crowded...

Her young uncle. He's damn funny. When i first met him, i dunno whether to call him Uncle or not coz he looked damn young. But Grace refers him as her Uncle. So when i greeted him by calling him Uncle, he was damn pissed until he said the F-word at a very high-pitched tone. Damn hilarious. What an uncle you have there, Grace. Heehehee.

The town in Ipoh. You can literally smell Cantonese in the air. The smell of Cantonese is THAT strong in Ipoh, mind you.

We stopped in front of this soya bean shop. And guess what...

...I was told to finish up my glass of soya bean drink in the car just like that! Amazing! I didn't know customers are allowed to drink soya bean from their glasses inside the car! At that time, all i can do is to gulp down my glass of soya bean even though i just had my dim sum feast.

So full until i couldn't smile...

A satisfied smile. After all the good and cheap and free food. Wheeeeeeeee!

It was a memorable first-time trip to Ipoh for me. Would love to go back there again, to try more good food. Hahaha. In short, i would like to give a big shoutout to Grace who brought me to her Ipoh hometown. Thanks a million for everything - your house, your room, your pillows, your comforter, your t-shirt, your toilet, your toiletries, and not to forget, your Whisper pads! =P

P.S.: 2 weeks and 2 more days towards my finals! How nice!
