2 weeks since i left JB...

Everything's fine. I'm pretty fine with my room, my roommate, the 'condo' i'm living in, and my housemates. Right now, i'm sitting on the floor of the hall upstairs of my uncle's house in Kota Damansara. He asked me to come over to stay at his place last night... and so... here am i. :)

The past one week was...well....normal. Yeah. Extremely normal. Attended lectures... no tutorials yet. So basically i'm still very, very free at the moment. That explains why i am here at Kota Damansara. Heh.

Oh yeah, I've finished my 1st assignment for Marketing Theory and Practice. We gotta hand in assignments for Marketing Theory and Practice weekly. So being the kiasu me, I've managed to finish it by Friday afternoon when the due date is next Tuesday. I know this is very kiasu of me. Oh well, i was just too free that i decided to finish it ASAP. So that i can go shopping tomorrow once i hand in my assignment. Heeeeeheeeeee.

For those of you who are still kept in the dark, it's the start of the Malaysian Mega Carnival Sale. Uh huh... You can see the 4 magic words - S.A.L.E anywhere, everywhere. Oh well, i have an extremely long shopping list in my head right now... pray hard that i won't go broke so soon.

*holds her breath*

Can't wait for next Saturday to arrive.... coz there will be this Orientation Bash @ Sunway Lagoon !!! woooooo hooooooo!

Noticed i don't miss home at all? =P Ok, actually i DO miss home... just that i'm not homesick. Missing home and feeling homesick is two different things. Heee.

Transition to University

University. Seems like a big word to me for i still can't really accept the fact that i AM in a Uni right now. Oh well, i guess i need some more time to digest this fact. I've been busy attending the orientation at my Uni for the past 5 days. Pretty boring and interesting at the same time. Made some friends though but not that many. Luckily i managed to click well with a gal from Ipoh by the name of Grace. ;)

Today marks the end of my Orientation Week. Thank God. Seriously, i can't wait for my lectures and tutorials to start. Yes, you might think that i'm out of my mind but this is what i'm currently feeling right now. Teeheehee. In short, i just can't wait for my assignments and readings!

The only thing good about the Orientation Week was the FREE lunch they served to us ala buffet style. There was even tea for us today! How nice! And boy, the food was great. :) I love free food. Enough said. =P

*grins widely*

By the way, i've only met two of my housemates so far. There's supposed to be 6 of us (including myself) in the condo. And yup, it's a condominium hostel. Sounds quite high class but it ain't that high class though. And until now, i still don't know who's my roommate yet. Hopefully we won't scare each other when we meet each other for the first time. Hah. I kinda like my room. It has a SPECTACULAR view. It's on the 10th floor facing LagoonView Condominium and also i'm able to have a full view of the Olympic-size swimming pool. Wheeeeeeee. By the way, i've tried out their pool, it's clean and i'm lovin' it. :)

Oh well, the main purpose of this post is to inform the world that i'm still alive. This blog is still very much alive, mind you. To all my faithful and loyal readers, please continue tagging if you think there's a need to do so. I'm free enough to blog right now as i'm at teck jian's house right now. :) Thanks for your broadband connection, teck jian! =P

I feel kinda sleepy right now but it's only 12.26am. Hmm. By the way, the transfer for the Desperate Housewives Season 2 on my laptop is going good...46.6% so far. ;) I still can't accept the fact that i own a laptop right now. Argh. What's wrong with me? I really need some time to adjust to my University Life. Ahhh... time...

Will try posting up some pictures when i'm able to connect my handphone cable to my laptop. Until now i still can't connect it. Wonder what's wrong...

Oh well, i seriously need my beauty sleep. Been occupied with orientation stuff for the past few days since i came here.

For your info, i'm a Monashian. ;)

P.S. : I so wanna learn figure ice-skating at Sunway Pyramid! Should i go for their classes? It's so tempting man... since i stay so near to Sunway Pyramid. Arggh...

I've hit the Big Two-O!

Yup. Bingo. I'm officially 20 years old right now. Went to Singapore when i was 19... and came back to Johor Bahru when i've turned 20. Yup, a pretty interesting way to celebrate my birthday though. Will blog more about my birthday celebration in Singapore when i have the free time to do so. As for the time being, i'm gonna be busy preparing myself mentally for the next phase of my life - University Life.

Anyway, at least i felt special on my birthday, and not old!

I seriously need my bed right now as i had like less than 9 hours of sleep within 2 nights. Goodnight. Gonna wake up to the afternoon sun tomorrow. I promise.

I guess it's time...

. . . for me to blog something about this tiny little ball with black and white patches that makes the world go crazy over it. Uh huh... you're right... it's the FOOTBALL FEVER i'm talking about. The ball that brings happiness and man-made disasters to the world... the ball that unites all people from different races, different religions, different cultures from every corner of the world, the ball that creates a false sense of comfort and belonging to all football fans. The ball. Isn't it magical?

So what if England lost to Portugal? And Brazil won't be in the final match? We can't always accept everything to turn out to be what we want in life. This is life. This is the reality. Reality hurts. Life sucks. That's why human beings are always vulnerable, to a certain extent that is. I wonder if i had made any sense putting football and life together... but oh well... just accept it as i can't really think that straight right now.

*scratches head*

Oh wait... Italy vs Germany and France vs Portugal. Who do u think will grab the ultimate "Cup of Life"? I guess Germany stands a very good chance this year... Hmm... but my father thinks that Portugal will be the ultimate winner. What say you?

*ponders*

Don't you think it's kinda weird of me to be blogging about the FOOTBALL FEVER which is currently going on right now? I dunno... i just feel the need to blog about it. You can even sniff football in the air... i kid you not. Oh well... to divert attention from the WorldCup, I had mouth-watering nasi lemak at Permas Jaya on last Saturday night (which was just two days ago) with The Boyfriend. It was recommended by The Boyfriend. And boy... it was delicious enough! :D

The Famous Permas Jaya Nasi Lemak. *drools*

The restaurant is just situated beside the sea. Can really feel the sea breeze while having your nasi lemak there. Nice background isn't it?

I was enjoying my nasi lemak.

The Boyfriend and I.

It's a pretty nice and cosy place to have dinner though. Nasi lemak that make u go high, fried chicken that can make u go fat, and cockles that can make u go crazy. Good food always go together with good atmosphere. How often do we city folks get to enjoy a decent meal just right beside the sea with a decent sea view right?

For your info, it's just beside Senibong Seafood Village at Permas Jaya, if you know where Senibong is. Hehe.

By the way, i've successfully broke my cockles eating record!!!!!!! *waves around proudly* Actually i'm not really into cockles, but well... i was tempted to try boiled cockles which were thoroughly cooked of course since there were cockles at almost every table. A very very unhealthy attempt though. Cockles, also known as 'si ham' seemed to be the popular dish over there. We tried eating and peeling (is this the right word to use?) as many cockles as we could... but in the end, we just couldn't manage to finish all the cockles. I think i might die 5 years younger if i were to finish the whole plate by myself. =P And boy, i found out a trademark of myself while i was eating cockles... guess what... I find peeling cockles, as in opening the shells of those damn cockles a very difficult task to do. =S Luckily, The Boyfriend was sweet enough to peel the cockles for me and put it straight into my mouth. XD And he was considerate enough to teach me how to peel cockles! Yea... at least now i know how to peel cockles. Well, practice makes perfect. Give me some time to pick up the cockles-peeling skill. So for the time being, Yina doesn't know how to peel cockles. Be patient with her alright?

My parents will kill me if they knew i consumed THIS much of cockles. And I've made a promise to myself - NEVER EVER TOUCH ANY COCKLES FROM NOW UNTIL END OF THE YEAR.
