Christmas comes early to Orchard RoadTHIS year's Christmas light-up, which began yesterday, will be the longest ever, stretching 6km from Tanglin Road, Scotts Road and Orchard Road all the way to the Marina Bay area.
The light-up is part of the Christmas In The Tropics festivities, which are expected to attract more than 1.5 million visitors to Singapore – many of whom will be here solely to soak in the atmosphere of the annual event.
According to the Singapore Tourism Board, nearly four in 10 visitors who were here during last year's light-up planned their trips around the festivities.
Of these, nearly a quarter were repeat visitors.
A total of 56 events will run from tomorrow to Jan 2 to keep the visitors occupied. These include float parades through Orchard Road and the heartlands, live performances, late night shopping and special theatre performances. – The Straits Times / Asia News Network

Yeah...i saw this piece of news in TheStar Online. Very tempting. Can't wait to go to Orchard in December!!! AHH! In the month of december, going to Orchard Singapore is a MUST-HAVE. I'm used to going to orchard especially during the month of december which basically represents the time of giving, sharing and joy - CHRISTMAS. December won't be the same if I din go to Orchard. Hehe. It makes a lot of difference in my life ok.
