If I have some spare cash......I would definitely grab this pair of
Birkenstock!!! Geez... it's worth S$129.90!!!!!! It seems to be over-priced... that's what the first thing came into my mind when i saw this pair of Birkenstock in Suntec City two days ago. Why oh why oh why must it be this expensive? I know it's Made In Germany... but so what? Anyway, i hope i can afford a pair of Birkenstock one day when i'm rich enough.
*dreaming about the dollar sign*
To console my soul for not being able to afford to buy a pair of Birkenstock, i've bought a pair of Neckermann sandals to make myself feel better. It was priced at S$49.90 initially, but due to the ever mighty Great Singapore Sales, the price went down to S$29.90! Yes... it was
this much of a sale. That's why the annual BIG SALES in Singapore is
GREATER than ever. Anyhow, i'm satisfied with this pair of
Neckermann sandals... i love the design! A very nice and colourful floral design, duncha think so? My feet will have this cheerful look whenever i wear this pair of sandals. Yes, it looks good on me. (:
*beams proudly*
My cheerful-looking sandals posing in front of the camera.
Neckermann Original Sandal. Made in Switzerland. It's trendy, comfy and stylish. The good thing about having a pair of Neckermann is that it's affordable and looks like you're wearing a pair of Birkenstock. The down-side of it is that it's not Birkenstock, sad to say. Anyhow, it's a recommended and trustworthy brand. Mark my words. Hehe.
One Minute BlogSo I'm right here... typing out a One-Minute-Blog when there's like so many things to blog about. Hmm. A quick recap : I went to Singapore (Suntec City, again) with kay yin, kenneth and don yesterday. A pretty worthwhile trip coz i've finally bought something that i really like. wheeeeee. Today, i was out almost the whole day... with Huah Shin and Khai San. Had the oh-so-famous meehoonkueh for lunch and did some shopping and window-shopping at Plaza Pelangi. Guess what... i've found out something - Plaza Pelangi is simply too small for me! I have a fetish for big big...(yes!) ultra huge... gigantic shopping complexes!
This One-Minute-Blog is just a quick recap about what's happening in my life lately. And oh yeah, Skype rawks! =)
KL Trip Part TwoDuring our trip to KL, Jean and I went to Bukit Bintang twice. Yup, TWICE. XD And during one particular night, we headed down to Bukit Bintang for dinner. We had dinner twice. Yup, TWICE. Hahaha! Jeff took all of us (Jean, Wayne and me) to Piccolo, a famous italian restaurant for 'dinner'. That 'dinner' wasn't really our dinner coz the menu was too pricey for all of us!
*gasp* I know why Jeff brought us there...
*ahem* =P
That is Wayne (the one wearing white). He's Jeff's super duper best buddy. Am i right? =P
Wayne acting cool beside me. Me smiling happily to the camera. Haha.
The couple - Jeff and Jean. Look at the liquid in their glasses - it's white in colour!
*shocked* Well, actually it's only sky juice. =P
Jeff and I. Dunno why he wore yellow that day... hmm.
Jean and I. (:
Wayne looked drunk in this picture. But no... we didn't touch a single drop of alcohol at all!
Please smile together with me when we're taking photos the next time, alrite? =P
Piccolo has great italian food. The moment i stepped into this place, i can smell pizza and all kinds of pasta. Heavenly aroma indeed. Ahhhh.... We ordered this salmon and caviar pizza!!!! Yup, it was my first time tasting caviar... not very special though. Haha. And guess how much the total bill was? It was a whooping RM65+ for just a pizza and peanuts (it was already on the table) and two bottles of mineral water!!!!! TOO PRICEY! What to do... good food and good atmosphere comes with a price. Freaking expensive. After this 'dinner', we went to sungai wang to eat another round coz we were not full at all! >.<>.<
Oh well... it was an EXPENSIVE experience at Piccolo. However, i would love to go back there again when i am rich or wait till i find a rich husband. Muahaha. Frankly speaking, it's suitable for couples to hang out as the atmosphere is romantic enough and the lightings are dim enough for them to do anything they wanna do. Hahaha. Yup, Jeff took Jean to the right place. =P
The 4 of us - Me, Wayne, Jeff, Jean. Thanks for the great Bukit Bintang experience! Cheers to all of you! (:
Alright, that's all for the KL trip. There are some interesting and scary stuff that i think i shouldn't blog about. Hahaha. Anyway, it was an unforgettable and fun experience in KL with Jeff and Jean... and especially to Jean - THANKS for the free accommodation and the free food at your granny's and aunt's houses! And to Jeff - THANKS for the chocolates, bookmark calendar and postcard from Italy! I like the bookmark calendar, it's unique. ;)
KL Trip Part OneYes, it's ME!!! I'm finally back from the capital of M'sia - Kuala Lumpur. Spent a total of 6 days 5 nights in KL with Jean, my twin. Hehe. Well, we stayed in two places - first two nights at her granny's kampung at Kampung Baru Subang which was near the old Subang Airport, the other 3 nights at her aunt's place at USJ 20. Well, all i can say is that it was quite an experience for me as i've never stayed at any kampung before. Hehe. =P
I've spent two nights in this 'wooden' room with Jean and her parents. The walls are made of wood. Solid wood. Wonder whether where are all the termites. *touches wood*
This little boy's name is Kar Heng. I hope i'm right. Hehe. He has this cheeky look on his face. Naughty little monkey. Hahaha.
Me and Kar Heng.
The 2 nights at her granny's kampung was somehow enjoyable despite my first time staying ala kampung style. Hehe. There was one night where i had dinner with her mum's family which consists of 2 tables. Pretty big group. It was pretty cute though as it looked as if we were all having a Chinese New Year's Eve reunion dinner! ;) Jean's relatives (aunties and uncles) were all friendly and hospitable to me. Her granny's kinda young... 60 plus... i find her quite cute coz i din seem to understand what she was talking to me coz she was talking to me in Hakka! Hahaha. I dunno why but it seemed Hakka sounds like Korean to me. =P
After spending 2 nights at Kampung Baru Subang, our next acommodation was at her aunt's place which was located at USJ 20. It was a double-storey terrace house. Her aunt and uncle, 4 incredibly hyperactive and amazingly talkative children, plus an Indonesian maid. Again, it was an unforgettable experience to me coz it's really really tough to deal with children nowadays. Mark my words. =P
Jean and I with the two children.
This small little boy which goes by the name of Michael is always shouting and screaming and whining and crying out loud most of the time in the house. Come to think of it, i really can't imagine how did i survive in an environment like that. And yes, i really don't like children anymore. It's a fact. Children are annoying and irritating creatures which can really make you go crazy and turn the whole house upside down although they can be cute and sweet-talk with u. They can't turn me on. Hahaha. I know i might sound like a witch here who dislikes children and all things good... but what the heck... i'm allergic to children please!
*shows tongue*
We were doing our own fashion show... showing off the clothes we both bought. It was fun playing 'fashion show' with the two little girls. Hehe.
Jean with one of her cousins. Nice pink panther jacket!! =P
Jean and I bought the same pink panther green tee at Sunway Pyramid. =) I was posing with Rachel, another cousin of Jean. Hehe. Rachel is a very sweet girl, i shall elaborate on that later on. Hehe.
Rachel gave Jean and I an eraser each. That eraser looks like Mentos! Super duper cute... I asked her why did she wanna buy it for me... and her reply was : "Because you're leaving today..and also because you're my friend." See? She's SOOOO sweet. Aww...
Before i end this post, here is a photo of the couple - Jeff and Jean :
p.s. : Jeff! Take a look! You're on my blog! =P
For the time being, please wait for the KL Trip Part Two. ;)
06.06.2006Recently, i've been slacking my bones and rotting my flesh away. Pretty normal for a person like me who is currently STILL ON HOLIDAYS and just gave her high-paying job away just like that. Hmm. I prefer doing nothing though. Call me a lazy bum, i don't care. I'm trying to enjoy doing nothing because i'm afraid i won't have the chance to do so anymore once i start my university life.
Hmm...
Not in the mood to blog though. I dunno why. Or maybe... i know why. Hmm. Anyways, i'll be leaving for kl this Friday to have fun, enjoy life and also not to forget, settle my uni stuff and accommodation.
I STILL NEED MORE OF THE GREAT SINGAPORE SALES! ! !*gasp*
Thank You JB CCMU!First of all, CCMU stands for
Credit Control Management Unit. Yesterday was officially my last day at work. I've spent
two solid months working at JB CCMU. Maybe most of you would think that two months wasn't long enough but to me, it WAS an eye-opening experience. I've experienced a lot of things when i was working there as a
Credit Control Officer under Citibank Singapore Limited. Yes, i've worked for
Citibank Singapore before. Hehe.
I've been complaining a lot since i started working there. Complained about the boring training sessions, the tedious work i have to do every single minute, the freezing cold office, and the long working hours. I admit i sounded like a
complain queen for the last two months (even in my blog), and thus i shall promise to myself that i won't complain so much about anything again. I promise.
The working and learning experience in JB CCMU had taught me a lot about life. Life isn't always a bed full of roses. I've came to realize that i'm actually much much more fortunate (in a lot of ways) as compared to other people. I've learnt to cherish and treasure everything i have in my life. And yup, i gotta be wise on spending my own money in future as it's my HARD-EARNED money. I guess it's time to save up for my future needs. (:
The working experience in JB CCMU has also taught me that we can't always expect life to turn out the way we want it to be. However, i'm truly grateful that my life has been good so far. I'm able to pursue a degree in a field that i'm interested in, i have supportive parents, lovable sister and brother, a sweet boyfriend, and close friends who are always there for me. It's the simple things in life that made me appreciate life even better. In life, it's still better to keep things as simple as possible. No? Yes?
Would like to thank
Michael and Dennis (bosses) for their kindness and warmth,
Ee Von for her friendship, my supervisors -
Fabian, Polly and Kevin for their patience and guidance, Ivy (trainer) for training me to become a credit control officer, and all my colleagues -
Nany, Rachel, Ila, David, Richard, Felicia, Shashi, Shalini, Jasmine, Gladys, Jane, Shanthini, Thila, Ann, Abang Lee, Zaki, Shawn, Liza, Nava and many many more who had helped me in one way or another. Thanks guys for making my working experience in JB CCMU a memorable one although the job was oh-so-boring!!! Hehe! (:
I should have said all these things when Dennis asked me to give a speech to everyone last night. Hahaha! =P
All in all, thank you JB CCMU! Thanks for the money! Thanks for the great working and learning experience! =D I won't forget Visa Classic, Visa Gold, Master Classic, Master Gold, Cathay Pacific Visa, M1 Gold, M1 Visa, Visa Business Gold, Mastercard Platinum, Ready Credit, Visa Tangs, Harvey Norman Co-Brand, and Power Cash! Late charges, finance charges, annual membership fee waivers... are still on my mind right now. Hahaha. =P I guess it takes time...
There goes another chapter of my life... finally i'm able to put a full stop to my working life. However, an end always leads to a beginning of something new. Will be having loads of fun in June, it's predictable.
*winks*
