it's that time of the year again
Semester 2 results are out! Checked my results online and i must say, i did
well this time.
Thanks be to God. *dances around the room
=D
Was pretty busy the last few days - Metrojaya shopping spree (for cardmembers only) on Tuesday with the parents, and Orchard outing with Bernard, the monash dude who came down from KL, and his bunch of friends/friend's friends, my twin, and not forgetting the boyfriend. Yes, the group was pretty huge... There's 8 of us having dinner at
The Village @ The Heeren. It's the same concept as
Marche.
Finally tried their pork knuckle there! The boyfriend
insisted to order pork knuckle, and so we shared the pork knuckle, plus brocolli soup, caesar salad with bacon and cheese toppings, and a bowl of rice. Their pork knuckle was
not too bad, but it wasn't
that great either.
It rained heavily while i was at Orchard yesterday. -.- I was, of course, turned off by the rain. Thank God my favourite gelato at takashimaya made my day. :D Shared two flavours - mango and raspberry with my twin. (: The colour combination of the ice-cream which was bright yellow and bright pink made me so...
girlish. Accompanied her for some shoe-shopping as she wanted to find a pair of flats. I'm amazed by the crowd at
Charles and Keith, there wasn't any sale and yet the crowd is there, i can't even walk around freely in the shop without bumping into anyone. It's that crowded.
I've finally bought a
super-belated anniversary present for the boyfriend in Singapore yesterday. A Zara long-sleeve shirt in dark brown. (: Was window-shopping at taka alone while waiting for the twin to meet up with me, and that was when i decided to walk into Zara to get the boyfriend a shirt for our
super-belated anniversary. Teehee.
On a heavier note, i'm currently down with flu and my throat's kinda sore now. MUST.BE.THE.DAMN.HEAVY.RAIN.AT.ORCHARD.YESTERDAY. =/ argh. I've actually turned down a clubbing invitation! So unlike me. LOL. I'm just
too tired and unwell to club today. Oh well, wrong timing. =/
Tomorrow's Friday already. How time flies. And yes, it's that time of the year again - CHRISTMAS is coming! (: Helped my mum to set up the christmas tree just this afternoon and it reminded me of all the good times i had during each christmas season. Ahhh... the joy of Christmas - i simply can't wait! ;)
say hello to the goblin
P.S.: The Australian government has granted my Visa to me this afternoon! I can say that they're really efficient man. *thumbs up
colours of the day
Today was indeed a busy day. Phew. Woke up ridiculously early at 8.15am this morning because I gotta head down to Johor Specialist to do my chest x-ray. Needed it to apply for my Australian Visa. My first time doing an x-ray, and my lungs turned out to be perfectly fine! Duh, i don't do drugs and i'm not a smoker.
This IS my chest, people. Or lungs.
After the x-ray, i accompanied the mother for some grocery shopping. She and her grocery shopping. Hah. Anyway, i enjoy going for grocery shopping with the mother because whatever i put inside the cart, it's FREE because i'm not the one paying for it. Teehee!
Went to the club to meet her ladies, then went out for lunch with them. The mother's friends kinda reminded me of the 4 main characters in Desperate Housewives - Lynette, Bree, Gabrielle and Susan. But not Edie of course. LOL. Was interesting and fun to hang out with these 'aunties' once in a while. Note the
ONCE.IN.A.WHILE. They can really crack me up, especially Aunty Diana. Haha!
What would 5 ladies do after lunch on a hot Friday afternoon?
Answer : They went
shopping! Duh!
Found this retro and timeless piece. Me loves! (:
The mother shopped more than me (like how she
always do). Her purchases include a retro dress and a batik shirt. If anybody were to accuse me of being a
shopaholic, i would tell him/her that it runs in
my blood, or family, or both.
*smiles proudly
The highlight of the day would be this:
I went into this optical shop to try out their free samples of coloured contact lenses! Was so curious to find out how i actually look in coloured lenses all this while! I actually freaked the mother out on the spot! LOL.
Me :
Eh mummy... look at my eyes!!!The mother :
Wah! Nice meh? Huh? Nice meh?Tried TWO colours at the same time. Was wearing grey on my right and brown on my left. LOL. I think i look freaky here. -.- Oh well, but i'm considering to change my lenses to coloured lenses. Which colour suits me more? Grey? or Brown? =/
Tomorow's a Saturday again. How time flies when one is having fun, how true indeed. The mother might wanna hop over to Singapore tomorrow and i gotta accompany her. I'm officially my mother's chaperone. A younger version of a chaperone, in my case.
Ta! (:
bum bum bum
I'm such a lazy bum to an extent that even I myself can't believe it.
So far, this is my 2nd week back at home. And what have I been busy with?
B-U-M-M-I-N-G around the house like an old woman who just got her early retirement. Yes, i'm serious. BUMMING around the house is all i do so far.
*grins widely
Bummer = lazy. And yes, laziness flows freely in my veins as i'm typing this. I haven't unpack my luggage yet, which means my clothes are still lying gently inside that luggage bag. Thank god i still have LOTS of clothes in the wardrobe at home. Teehee. But... i guess i gotta start to open up that luggage bag tomorrow since the mother is threatening me to do so. =/ Tomorrow shall be Unpacking Luggage Day. Unpacking Luggage Day it shall be. I just hope i'm motivated enough to start. LOL.
One more thing, i'm so lazy that i don't give a damn about my eyebrows. I love having neat and trimmed eyebrows. They make my eyes look bigger. And i would tweeze my eyebrows if i don't find it neat enough. Yes, i have this obsession with neatly-trimmed eyebrows. But heck, the laziness in me is overwhelming. Sigh... It's starting to grow like a bush. =(
I SO NEED TO TWEEZE MY EYEBROWS TOMORROW, BY HOOK OR BY CROOK. Yes, i'm vain, thank you very much. =D
Ok, i've decided. I shall declare tomorrow as -
Unpacking Luggage and Tweezing Eyebrows Day.*wide-opened eyes
Wish me luck and pray that I won't get any lazier than this! o.O
Toodles! (:
aching...butt
Phew. The last one whole week was a busy one indeed. I'm still trying to catch up with the pace at home. To prevent my brains from shrinking, i shall try to do a thorough recap of what has happened so far in the past one week.
So yeah.
Monday - Went to duty free zon with the mother. She bought a Beverly Hills Polo Club 29inches luggage bag for me.
Tuesday - I forgot what I did. Shiat.
Wednesday - Went swimming with Victor (the cousin from UK), my another cousin, and my Aunt. I brought them to Royal Johor Country Club (RJCC).
Thursday - Deepavali! I went bowling with Victor and my Aunt. Striked FIVE TIMES! (:
Friday - Had authentic hainanese chicken rice at home, prepared by the mother. Had baileys with Victor after that. I can see he was desperate for some alcohol. Hahaha!
Saturday - Went for sunset mass. The homily was good, it was about love. God's love. (: Had a good dinner at Peking since my bro's back for the weekend. Dad ordered sweet and sour crabs. :) After that, I went to watch
Stardust again! Second time watching
Stardust, this time with the boyfriend. Stardust is so good that i don't mind watching it again and again! I totally dig fantasy and fairytale movies. (:
Some quotes from
Stardust:
- A philosopher once asked, "Are we human because we gaze at the stars, or do we gaze at them because we are human?" Pointless, really..."Do the stars gaze back?" Now THAT'S a question.
- What do stars do? They shine.
- I know a lot about love. I've seen it, centuries and centuries of it, and it was the only thing that made watching your world bearable. All those wars. Pain, lies, hate... It made me want to turn away and never look down again. But when I see the way that mankind loves... You could search to the furthest reaches of the universe and never find anything more beautiful.
- So yes, I know that love is unconditional. But I also know that it can be unpredictable, unexpected, uncontrollable, unbearable and strangely easy to mistake for loathing, and... What I'm trying to say, Tristan is... I think I love you. Is this love, Tristan?
- I never imagined I'd know it for myself. My heart... It feels like my chest can barely contain it. Like it's trying to escape because it doesn't belong to me any more. It belongs to you. And if you wanted it, I'd wish for nothing in exchange - no fits. No goods. No demonstrations of devotion. Nothing but knowing you loved me too. Just your heart, in exchange for mine.
- A men can not find inmortality unless he has the hearth of a star, and Yvaine gave her entire hearth to him
And here am i, still having an aching butt on a Sunday night blogging about my week. It must be the swim I had on Wednesday, or the bowling session on Thursday. Either one. =S
I feel so good to be bumming around at home once again. Ahh... the art of rotting! Teehee!
This is a rare glimpse of the hamsters owned by Grace and I back in Subang. Seriously, they are
TOO horny and breed too fast. Heck, i think ALL hamsters are horny creatures.
teehee
I'm feeling excited about something.
It's a secret.
Will reveal it when the time is right.
;)
the comfort zone
My 2nd Year 1st semester has officially come to an end. No more assignments, presentations, tests or exams. Now, it's just eat, sleep, play, rot.
Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!I'm a
holiday person. I'm in love with holidays. I like the feeling of being carefree and having no worries and absolutely nothing to do.
YAY! =D
It's too good to be back at home once again, at this very comfortable zone of mine. ;) Will be patiently waiting for the friends from Aussie to come back. Can't wait!
At the time being, i think i'm starting to miss the bunch of uni friends. =/
This crazy yet lovely bunch of uni friends. I.Miss.You.Guys.
