camwhoring @ midvalley

It happened last Saturday... =)

Seriously, my hair looked so brown compared to Selina's super black hair. She told me that i must eat more protein coz she drinks protein everyday (haha!). And look at my eyes, so small compared to her big-doll eyes. Oh wells... at least both of us look good in the pics. =)

Camwhoring spells fun!

an elaborated wedding affair

It was two weekends ago, during my Easter break, i attended my cousin's wedding dinner at Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore. 4 of us went - the mother, the sister, the brother, and I. As expected, since it was held at the ballroom in Shangri-La hotel, everything looked posh, lavish, grand, and expensive. Nevertheless, it was a classy affair. Everyone turned up in their best attires.

Such wedding dinners are a good reason for relatives to chit-chat/mingle/gossip among each other. I guess it's the norm when everyone gets together at occasions like these. Besides the annual Chinese New Year get-together, wedding dinners are the best time for the relatives to mingle around. And since CNY was just barely 3 months ago, everyone still looked the same, at least to me.

Heh.

There were more than 60 tables. We sat at Table 28. The ballroom looked grand, thanks to the pretty-looking chandeliers. There was a LCD screen projecting their little love story. Quite sweet though, considering the fact that the bridegroom is my cousin's first love. They have been together for 10 years, imagine... It really set me thinking... Is love more than just a feeling? Or is it just a myth? I believe love is a myth, because all of us operate by myths. In fact, life itself is a myth. We're all living in one. ;) [this myth thingy is inspired by my media studies lecture]

There was a cocktail reception before the dinner. And boy, the dinner only started at 9pm! o.O My face was turning all pale by then. Luckily i didn't faint. -.-

My outfit for the wedding. No other occasions for me to wear my new custom-made baju kebaya. Therefore, i decided to wear it for the wedding dinner. =) One of my relatives were asking me what made me wear baju kebaya that night, i should have said i wanted to represent my country - Malaysia (quoted from my sis). *lol*

I realized I always ended up wearing white when i attend wedding dinners. I wonder why... hmm. Oh well, just some random thought going through in my head right now.

The famous three women of the Lim family. Left-right: my sis, my mummy, and I. Can't really see my mother's face, but nevermind, i still think this photo looks pretty cool.

My mum took a pic with her mummy. I think my mum is starting to resemble my grandma/her mother more. Means my mum will look like my grandma when my mum starts to age? Sounds freaky. =P

Overall, i would say this is the most lavish/grand/posh/expensive wedding dinner i've been to. Did i mention that they have fireworks on the stage as well? Geez, i wouldn't want my wedding to be so lavish in future. I would rather save the money and go on a 2-months honeymoon in some exotic island/country. Hehehe. By the way, more and more of my relatives are getting married since early january this year. I dunno why but i think it's scary. o.O I'm not a marriage person, perhaps? Love is in the air, definitely.

Annoucement:
The Lims (3 of them) are coming up to this super-congested Kuala Lumpur this Saturday!!!

let the music set you free

Was at Esplanade Theatre with 33's sis - mei shyuan and my sis last Saturday. The theatre was good, everything from the lightings, sound systems, acoustic abilities, the ceiling, the carpeted floor, to the seats. World-class standard indeed. There wasn't any dress code for the matinee show, therefore everyone was dressed in a smart casual way - jeans, shirts, skirts, casual dresses, spaghetti tops. Just no slippers and shorts. It's understood.

Indeed, the chandelier dropped from the ceiling, but it didn't crash. That was quite a scene though. All of them were really G-R-E-A-T singers, and not to forget, great actors as well. Costumes were very elaborated, very colourful, and looks expensive. No particular favourite scene though, as every scene was my favourite scene. It was that good. Overall, it was a phan-tastic performance. =)

As i'm typing this, i'm listening to the soundtrack of Phantom of the Opera. Yes, i haven't really gotten over it yet. The music is still kinda stuck in my head. Anyhow, i'm already back in the super-congested Kuala Lumpur since Monday. Everything's good except for the fact that I have one assignment due next Wednesday and the second wave of assignment is approaching which i have to pass up 3 assignments in two weeks' time. Gawd. I'm starting to feel stressed out already. -.-

Some random stuff:
My woman, who is in London till end of July will be buying a pair of skinny jeans from London for me. And maybe Topshop panties. Can't wait!

Happy belated birthday to my other woman who is in the States! She just turned 21 on Monday. Called her and managed to talk to her the other day, and i can sense that she was touched by my call. Heh.

I miss my women. I need them. Especially these two. =(

FASTER COME BACK, BOTH OF YOU.

Everyone wears a mask to hide their flaws, so that nobody can find them. No one in this world is perfect.

The phantom awaits my presence

In sleep he sang to me,
in dreams he came ...
that voice which calls to me and speaks my name ...

And do
I dream again?
For now
I find the Phantom of the Opera is there - inside my mind ...

Sing once again with me our strange duet ...
My power over you grows stronger yet ...

And though you turn from me,
to glance behind,
the Phantom of the Opera is there - inside your mind ...

Those who have seen your face draw back in fear ...
I am the mask you wear ...

It's me they hear ...

Your/My spirit and my/your voice in one
combined: the Phantom of the Opera
is there - inside your/my mind ...

He's there,
the Phantom of the Opera ...
Beware the Phantom of the Opera ...

In all your fantasies,
you always knew that man and mystery ...

... were both in you ...

And in this labyrinth where night is blind,
the Phantom of the Opera is there/here - inside your/my mind ...

Sing, my Angel of Music!

He's there the Phantom of the Opera ...

I can barely wait for tomorrow's Phantom of the Opera matinee performance @ Esplanade Theatre at 2pm! Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

*dives into her gancheong mode*

Have a nice weekend, people!

P.S.: She is currently enjoying Johor Bahru and her family since last Friday. All thanks to the week-long mid-semester vacation break. For the time being, she won't be blogging till she get her butt back to the super-congested Kuala Lumpur, which is Monday mid-morning. Yes, she really knows how to enjoy her break to the fullest by pigging out NON-STOP 24/7, watching telly, and spending quality time with the family (haven't met up with her man yet). She DID NOT touch her readers at all, although she brought 2 readers back. How sweet, right?

done with 1st phase.

1st phase in this case, is referring to my assignments. Finally, *wipes sweat* i've completed ALL my first assignments for this semester (let me exclude American Music for a while, heh). After all the long nights, long hours of facing the laptop screen, never-ending readings to read, god-knows-how-many-packets of green tea i've consumed, I can say i've survived half of this semester already. Heh.

*beams*

The thought of a week-long of mid-semester break is so comforting... Ahhhhh. I'll be taking a Choo Choo Train from Sentral back to good old JB. Was supposed to be taking a flight back, but heck, i was too kiasu, i booked my plane tickets wayyyy too early, and i forgot there's mid-sem break. So yup, i screwed one of my plane tickets. That's why i'm taking the blame by taking the freaking super duper slow Choo Choo Train back home. Hmmmph!

Lesson learnt: Not to be TOO kiasu in future! Always check the Monash academic calendar!

Oh well, looking on the sunny side of things (trying to relate it to my blog theme, heh), thank God i still have another plane ticket from JB to KL. Phew. I really dunno what would i do if i were to take the Choo Choo Train back here again. I would have gone crazy. Heh. So yup, Choo Choo Train back to JB, and Boeing 737 back to KL. It would have been much better than this if i'm not soooo kiasu.

A few things that make me wanna go back home so eagerly this time:

The Boyfriend was not mentioned in my list due to the fact that he's busy working in that huge-ass architecture firm in Singapore during the weekdays, and he'll be in Sepang this weekend to witness his favourite Formula One race. Yup, as you can see, he's a uber huge Formula One fan. He can literally go crazy over F1. Only F1 can keep him awake all night, not even me. =P

This computer lab is freezing the sh*t out of me. *shivers* I realized i feel kinda weird without any assignments to do right now. Maybe it's a sign for me to have my much-needed one week break. Heh. Monash spells the word 'hectic' very clearly to all of us.

So yup, enjoy your holidays people, especially those from Monash! And have a great Easter weekend! ;)
