the unpredictability of life
I'm back.
In KL i mean.
Started my 2nd semester of Uni. So far so good.
Just that there's a lot of new faces.
Oh well. Gotten our first assignment and presentation.
Typical Monash-style.
Anyway, life is unpredictable.
Cherish the people around you, especially your loved ones.
And also, never ever take life for granted again.
=(
Lord, receive my prayer.Amen.p.s.: Don't ask me what happened. I'll tell you if i feel like to because for now, i still can't accept the truth.
time to welcome the boar
And beware, pigs might fly. ;)
and the Valentine's day that was
The Dinner @ Din Tai Fung.
Just the two of us.
Famous for their xiao long bao.
Rated among the Top 10 chinese restaurants in the world.
It was a unique Valentine's day dining experience.
As we wanted something different.
A cute and cuddly teddy bear from him.
My valentine's day gift.
Loved it so much.
Until i was carrying it all the time while walking around Orchard Road.
With the teddy bear in my left hand, and his hand in my right hand.
It was nevertheless a loving and truly unforgettable moment.
And the night was still so young.
Thus we headed to a bar along Orchard.
The Balcony was the name of the bar.
As unique as it sounds, it has a jaccuzi in the middle of the bar.
Service was good, drinks were fantastic.
And of course, the music chilled us out.
We chilled the night away (not the whole night of course).
With the both of us sitting so close to each other, chatting while sipping our drinks.
Not to forget the occasional sweet kisses.
;)
Valentine's Day 07 is indeed a memorable and romantic one.
Thank you baby for surprising me with the teddy.
All my hugs and kisses are dedicated to him and nobody else.
As only he knows how to love me like a princess.
Once again, thank you for everything baby.
I love you, Irwin.
Tagged.
Kai tagged me *thanks dude!*. =P And since i have nothing to do right now except for staring out from the window, i shall do the tag.
Each player of this game starts out by giving 6 weird things about themselves. People who get tagged need to write in a blog of their own 6 weird things as well as state the rules clearly. In the end, you need to choose 6 people to be tagged and list their names. After you do that, leave them each a comment letting them know you tagged them and to read your blog!
1. I'm a soup person. I love soup more than anything. Definitely can't live without Bovril soup.
2. I am partially blind and partially deaf. Really. I might need those hearing aids soon.
3. I'm very very afraid of anything that has to do with feathers - birds, butterflies, peacocks, chickens, ducks, etc. I'm also scared of their beaks as well. Argh.
4. I love to stone. Anytime, anywhere. That's why most people will think that i'm either deep in my own thoughts/daydreaming or acting arrogant/cool.
5. I eat like a horse but i just can't seem to put on any weight. -.- I guess i sleep all my fat away.
6. I don't do my business everyday. =P
People i wanna tag : Anyone who is as free as me. Heh.
I'm not satisfied with my answers somehow, but oh well, i guess that will do.
I'm currently at Jean's hostel in NUS right now. Prince George's Residences is quite a cool place though coz it's near a jungle. Kinda relaxed. She's doing her readings on her bed while i'm wasting my time blogging on her laptop. Will go out to get a V-day gift for him after she's done with her readings. But heck, i still don't know what to get for him.
p.s.: Will be in Singapore for 3 days 2 nights. Will be back at home on Thursday.
For the time being, wishing everybody an early Valentine's. Spread the
love and make more love! :)
Mirror, mirror, on the wall.
Right now, i'm currently sitting comfortably with my laptop on my lap in the living room of my house, blogging about whatever that comes into my mind at this very moment. The sun is so scorching hot and glaring out there, it might make me go blind any moment. It's quite windy outside though, but nah... i would prefer to sit here with my cup of Ribena drink, listening to my part-time maid's conversation with my mum. The maid's happily cleaning/washing the compound right now. And boy, she talks a lot when she's cleaning something. o.O
The maid was telling me how fair I am just now.
The maid: "Wah... Yina semakin putih huh..."Me: "Hahaha..." (I don't wanna laugh because it's not funny at all but i guess it's the only response i could give to her). The maid: "Ya... memang betul... Yina semakin putih."My mommy: "Aiyah... Dia bangun lewat...11am/12pm.. Tak keluar rumah, mesti putih la!"Me: "Eh.. betul!"My mommy said something that made sense to me. I gotta admit that she's right... I'm getting fairer and fairer due to my inability to wake up early everyday. And i always hide myself at home most of the afternoons because it's so freaking hot in the afternoon! I love the sun, no doubt, but not the afternoon sun please. Argh.
I need a tan. I need a blue sky holiday. I need to chill out at a beach.
*starts to daydream.*
Did i mention that i'm down with flu right now? I gotta inhale deeply in order to breathe properly. My nose's blocked, that's why. And i'm feeling headachy (blame the super-hot weather), and soft. Yup, soft as in i feel as though my body has soften. o.O
*sniff sniff*
I need to buy MORE CNY clothes, but wait till my mum gets better first. She's gotten ill too. I need that pair of heels too. Oh boy...
AHHhhhhhh........ CHhhhOooooo!Alrite. I guess it's time for my much-needed rest. Been idling in front of the laptop doing nothing for the whole afternoon. Sometimes, i really can't imagine how i could survive... Oh well...
*loud sneeze*
Chinatown rocks
So I was at Chinatown with the family (excluding my bro coz he's working part-time) yesterday. The crowd was crazy but nevertheless we had an enjoyable time there. I was busy taking photos and thus i was acting like a tourist. o.O Haha.
Before that, we were at my uncle's condo at Bukit Timah. Went to visit my grandma. Gosh, i love their golden retriever! The dog's head is bigger than mine, the eyes are also bigger than mine. Aww!
We reached chinatown around 5.45pm. The weather was perfect - breezy and not-too-hot. Just nice for us to squeeze ourselves through the maddening crowd. =) And guess what, we found Singapore's most famous Bak Kwa. The queue was unbelieveable!
Chinatown was filled with lots of red-coloured decorations. The colour RED represents prosperity. And thus the Lunar New Year is all about getting prosper and rich and fat.
There were lots of cheap bargains, especially those assorted candies from Taiwan. The stall owners were giving out candies to the crowd FOR FREE. Maybe there's no demand for such candies? Haha. But it tasted quite good. ;)
As we walked along, we noticed A LOT of pigs. No doubt, it's the Year of the Golden Pig.
We were at Chinatown till night time. Didn't get to take pictures at night because the camera's battery went flat. Too bad. The scene at Chinatown was obviously nicer at night, with those colourful lightings and lighted decorations.
It was worth our time making a trip to Chinatown this year. Got a real cheap silk nightdress at S$5 for myself. Hehe. My mum bought all the typical CNY food stuff. My dad got himself a pair of uber cool transparent reading glasses! Haha.
Till then, although i have been to Chinatown, but i can't feel the festive CNY mood within myself. Oh well, I don't really feel the CNY mood every year anyway. o.O
p.s.: 12 more days to the Lunar New Year. Ooo..Laaa...Laaa.
take care gal
