High on Mocha, not Vodka.I seriously can't think of anything right now BUT i know that...
I AM DONE WITH MY FEATURE STORY.
I AM DONE WITH MY THIRD AND LAST FEATURE WRITING ASSIGNMENT.
I AM DONE WITH ALL MY ASSIGNMENTS.
I AM DONE WITH ALL THE ASSIGNMENTS FOR MY FIRST SEMESTER IN MONASH.
NO MORE ASSIGNMENTS FOR ME! Period.
Come to think of it, i'm pretty scared to hear the word 'assignment' again. Call it phobia. I don't care. Just don't mention the word to me ever again till March 2007.
For the time being, I shall bid farewell and kiss goodbye to ALL ASSIGNMENTS. GOODBYE ASSIGNMENTS! SEE YOU NEXT YEAR!
And for now, i gotta start to do some serious mugging. Finals coming in less than 2 weeks time. Perfect timing, ain't it? Can't wait to start mugging my ass off... I know i'm crazy, you don't have to tell me.
Won't be blogging actively for the next 3 weeks. Will only start to blog seriously and actively after 1st of November. Loyal and faithful readers can still tag me on the tagboard on the right. :) Till then... i think i really should get some sleep, considering the fact that it's 5.33am.
Good luck to those who are about to have their finals soon, be it UPSR, PMR, SPM, PRE-U, or Uni finals.
"Aim for the moon, if you can't reach the moon, at least you'll still fall among the stars." -dedicated to Jen (my brother) who is having his SPM next month. Good luck dude!
The Yummilicious Ipoh.Food, food, and food. There is an abundance of food in Ipoh. Everywhere you go, there is bound to be a hawker centre selling mouth-watering food. Famous Ipoh cuisine. The thought of it can simply make YOU drool right now and then. The power of food. Yummmmmmmmy!
Just spent 4 days 3 nights in Ipoh, thanks to Grace's family who welcomed me to their house with open arms. (: And not to forget, her doggie, Chester welcomed me too...in an unexpected way that is - by humping my leg. Chester is a pervert. Grace, your dog needs to get laid... =P
This is Grace Foo. She is
this shy. =P
Chester - the guy who humped me (my leg).
He sleeps in the weirdest position you can ever imagine.
All i did in Ipoh was to eat and eat and eat... and... i went for this eyebrow-shaping service at one of their shopping malls! LOL. Now i have neater eyebrows... but i need to maintain it though. Have to tweeze my eyebrows when it grows longer. I know i'm vain. Shoot me.
Since Ipoh is all about food, i shall let the food do the talking. Hold your breath... here we go...
Meatball soup which goes together with the Hakka Mee.
The oh-so-delicious Hakka Mee. I almost fainted on the spot because I didn't expect it to be so delicious. Yeah, it was so oh-my-God delicious. You should just witness my facial expression at that time. Grace laughed her head off. Heeeeee.
The oh-so-famous 'kai si hor fun'. It literally means shredded chicken slices kuey teow soup. Ipoh is all about 'kai si hor fun'. Trust me.
There you are. A bowl of 'kai si hor fun' which is FREAKING CHEAP and GOOD. RM2.50 per bowl! Where else can you find 'kai si hor fun' at such a cheap price?
'Yamm Kok Kai'. It means salted baked chicken in Cantonese. I think my Cantonese-speaking ability/skill is improving. No?
Had supper with her parents at this cosy little ice-cream parlour. I shared this ice-cream (4 scoops) with Grace. However, i still prefer Baskin Robbin's/Ben & Jerry's/Haagen Dazs/Bud's. =P
We had dim sum at this shop in the morning. So damn crowded...
Her young uncle. He's damn funny. When i first met him, i dunno whether to call him Uncle or not coz he looked damn young. But Grace refers him as her Uncle. So when i greeted him by calling him Uncle, he was damn pissed until he said the F-word at a very high-pitched tone. Damn hilarious. What an uncle you have there, Grace. Heehehee.
The town in Ipoh. You can literally smell Cantonese in the air. The smell of Cantonese is THAT strong in Ipoh, mind you.
We stopped in front of this soya bean shop. And guess what...
...I was told to finish up my glass of soya bean drink in the car just like that! Amazing! I didn't know customers are allowed to drink soya bean from their glasses inside the car! At that time, all i can do is to gulp down my glass of soya bean even though i just had my dim sum feast.
So full until i couldn't smile...
A satisfied smile. After all the good and cheap and free food. Wheeeeeeeee!
It was a memorable first-time trip to Ipoh for me. Would love to go back there again, to try more good food. Hahaha. In short, i would like to give a big shoutout to Grace who brought me to her Ipoh hometown. Thanks a million for everything - your house, your room, your pillows, your comforter, your t-shirt, your toilet, your toiletries, and not to forget, your Whisper pads! =P
P.S.: 2 weeks and 2 more days towards my finals! How nice!
You've gotta be proud of this girl here.I've managed to survive my one week of mid-term break without going back home. Hah. What i did for the past whole week was simply shocking, unbelieveable and... 'ambitious' (quote and quote by Grace). I cooked, i did my assignments, i read, i talked (to parents and the boyfriend), i typed, i slept, and cooked again. Come to think about it, i'm amazed by what i can do sometimes, seriously. Hmm... anyways, here are some REAL pictures for your viewing pleasure, and hopefully can turn your stomach on. Enjoy... ;)
Sardine with onions.
Lotus-root with pai kuat and dried octopus soup.
Stir-fry cauliflower with carrot, chicken slices and red capsicum.
Old cucumber with pai kuat and dried octopus soup.
I love dried octopus in my soup! Looks scary but the soup's delicious...
Plain omelette.
Microwaved original flavour koka noodles with cai xin/choy sum/sawi.
Salted vegetable with tofu and tomato soup.
Stir-fry long beans with chicken slices and carrot.
Yina's fried rice! (ikan bilis, carrot, long beans, egg, pork slices with rice) I'm so damn freaking proud of it! =D
Microwaved rice with fried egg.

Set Meal B
Set Meal C
Set Meal D
Yup, you're not dreaming. According to the pictures above, Yina can really cook. RIGHT? Heeeheeheeee. *beams* To be honest, I din know i can cook THAT many dishes in one whole week. I was amazed by my cooking skills. I was stunned by my abilities. And I would like to give a big shoutout to the Panasonic microwave oven :
"THANK YOU! You've been a great help to me!" I relied on the microwave oven to cook rice and instant noodles. Man... without it, i guess my life won't be that easy for me. And thank God i've managed to finish my assignments and also prepared my presentations despite all the cooking in the kitchen. Whee hee hee.
The moral of the story:
Don't ever, ever underestimate yourself... Nothing is impossible!P.S.: She's so sick of cooking that she won't be cooking for the rest of this year anymore!
