Bus Crash No More.

*this post is a sticky. Scroll down for more postings.

We, the concerned youths of Malaysia express appalled anger towards the incident that claimed the life of Lee Nian Ning and two others on the 25th of January 2008. This is not the first time that such an incident has occurred. Despite numerous complaints and public uproar in the past, incidents like this continue to occur. It was reported that the driver’s company had 13 summonses on that bus itself. We find it unacceptable that such a company could have operated that vehicle on the road.

What are the explanations?

Hundreds of thousands of university students just like Nian Ning and us rely on such public transport to travel back home. A human life should not be taken lightly.

How could a vehicle with 13 summonses be free on the roads and not be held by the authorities?
We, the following, hereby demand that the relevant authorities set up a committee consisting of road safety experts and representatives from relevant public bodies to conduct a thorough study to find effective solutions to ensure that mistakes like this do not occur again in the future.

We will not quiet up until we see it in the media that satisfactory measures have been taken. To sign the petition, please send your FULL NAME and IC NUMBER to buscrashnomore@gmail.com.

We thank you for your co-operation. Let us pray for those who have died to make way for change and keep our fingers crossed that someone, anyone will hear us and enforce that change.

Please put this in forums, bulletins, emails, blogs.....everywhere. We need all the support we can get. This is for you as well.

For more info, please go to http://buscrashnomore.blogspot.com/ .

Please help by signing the petition. YOU can make a difference.

On an unrelated note, I can literally hear the ticking sound of the clock. And yes, a reminder for me - 11 days more before i fly off to Melbourne. Time to start stuffing all my stuff (very important and not-so-important ones) into two big suitcases.

Thank you Singapore Airlines for the 40 killer kilograms.

Please make a difference.

Chung Lern and Nian Ning’s families would like all families and friends of the victims, dead or alive, in the Slim River Bus Crash to come forward and join them in taking action against the bus company. Stand up to seek justice for these three innocent individuals, who were all so young and full of life.

If you have a blog, please call out to ANYONE who
knows someone who survived or did not survive
the crash to come forward to join the Lee family.
Make a huge difference, make a huge fuss.

For now, you may contact Lee Chung Lern at chunglern@gmail.com or preferably on his handphone at 012-6670368.

A petition will always come into good use in times like these. We’ve yet to grasp the objectives of the petition but of course it would be forwarded to the bus company, the ministry of transport(nevermind, we can still try our luck) and being a tad bit ambitious, the prime minister.
We don’t want to disturb Chung Lern and Nian Ning’s family yet, but we’re trying to understand what are our objectives if a petition should be made. Please give us your suggestions and watch this space.

I don’t want to be seen as overly nosy in the business of someone I don’t know but I feel that the demise of these innocent lives were so uncalled for. I’m feeling my friend’s pain. It could’ve been me, I can’t stress that enough. This is the most that I can do.

For all you know, it could be me, just your average young bus rider wanting to go home.

It's all in the news. Even though i do not know Lee Nian Ning, my heart goes out to her family and loved ones. May God give her family and loved ones the strength to pull through this difficult period of life.

Rest in peace.

Yes, life is so fragile and unpredictable.

Very simple indeed.

Spent my evening choosing a new blogskin for this blog.

And... ta dah! This is it! Simplicity at its best! Feel free to comment. (:

Met up with Selina who came back from the United Kingdom. She's still the same though, except for her hair. Teehee.

We were both chilling out at CoffeeBean after lunch. Did the usual - catching up with each other's lives, gossipping about others, and camwhoring. :)

The unglam side of me.

And oh, i suck at pouting. =/ Therefore, no pictures of me pouting here. Haha.

the boyfriend is getting older

And yes, the Boyfriend turned 22 during the weekend! He had a great birthday celebration this year, and that explains why he is so chirpy and cheerful nowadays. Teehee. Bought a shirt for him from Topman for his birthday present. Happy 22nd Birthday, baby! (:

His boss and colleagues celebrated his birthday for him at their office. How sweet.

He shares the same birth date with his father. Pretty cool isn't it? Oh, that big cake was meant for his father.

This is his cake. Yes, another cake. Turning 22 doesn't guarantee 2 birthday cakes, right?

I'm not even 22 yet and he wants me to cut the cake together. Cute right? ;)

I love him.

I really do. (:

The Boyfriend and his close buddies - Eugene, and Kevin.

Shoving a big slice of his chocolate birthday cake into my mouth. YUM. (:

And oh, this is my new hairstyle. The whole world has been asking me why did i suddenly decide to chop off my long curly locks. And to be honest with the world, I seriously miss my long curly hair. =/

Changes are inevitable in life, so they said.

P.S.: Too many happenings, yet too lazy to blog. =p
