fly me to the moon

Ok, since today's the mid-autumn festival, also known as the "mooncake" festival and "lantern" festival...

HAPPY MID-AUTUMN FESTIVAL. Hope all of you had a good one this year. (:

Just stuffed myself silly with 5 mooncakes, not forgetting the steamboat dinner.

*BURPS

The word "mooncake" sounds amusing to me. There isn't any cake on the moon, and it isn't produced by the moon whatsoever. It's just a term constructed by the masses, and thus the action of consuming mooncakes has indeed become a culture per se. My point is... we're just consuming some baked biscuits with lotsa sweet fillings such as lotus paste, red bean paste, or even green tea paste thinking it's just god-sent heavenly "mooncakes". The power of false-consciousness. How powerful indeed.

To cut my story short, i'm actually addicted to THIS:

Polyvore. An application from Facebook.com. And i just created the image above and named it 'That Girl'. It helps to divert my attention from shopping at the time being. And i can learn to be creative and fashionable at the same time. And i would know what to buy and what not to buy when i go shopping. Teehee.

Polyvore is every girl's dream. Period. (:

P.S.: I'm currently back at my comfort zone in good ol' Johor Bahru. Everything's good. *beams

be delicious is delicious

My much-needed ONE WEEK mid-semester break is FINALLY HERE!

*shouts in joy

The last two weeks was a fun but crazy one. The boyfriend and I have happily reached the 4 years benchmark. In other words, it was our 4th year anniversary last Wednesday. Teehee. I know, we sound like some old couple but no, i think our love is still pretty hot. ;)

I love him. LOTS. (:

When the boyfriend was in KL with me, i was very very well fed! To the extent that i was over-eating almost everyday! Of course, i was so darn satisfied. :D

And since it was our 4th year anniversary, he came with a really GREAT surprise for me.

Donna Karan New York's Be Delicious perfume!! Another perfume to be added to my perfume collection! (:

Be Delicious
A modern feast for the senses. Served in a sleek metal and glass apple bottle, this juicy fragrance combines the scent of apple with a sophisticated blend of exotic flowers and sensual woods. Like the city that inspired it, Be Delicious celebrates individuality with refreshing spirit.

Notes:American Apple, Cucumber, Grapefruit, Candid Magnolia, Tuberose, White Muguet, Rose, Violet, Sandalwood, Tender Skin Accord, Blonde Woods, White Amber.

Style:Free-spirited. Refreshing. Unique.

HE IS SO SWEET. Totally didn't expect to get a Be Delicious perfume from him. He really got me a GREAT surprise. THANK YOU BABY! (:

Now i have to really think hard and get him a nicer surprise. *winks

****

I slept at 5am this morning. Yes, you've got it right, THIS morning. I was doing my TV studies assignment the whole night, minus the one hour where i was chatting on the phone with the boyfriend. Teehee. And with some help from the angels above, accompanied with some magical fairy dust, i managed to finish my heavy-duty 2000-word assignment which is worth a whooping 50% for this unit. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSSSSH! The sense of accomplishment and satisfaction.

*wheeeee

Today is the start of my mid-semester break. It's the time to let my hair down. It's the time to enjoy life and do absolutely nothing. It's time to free my mind from assignments, Communication theories, cultural theories, etc. It's the time to just lay back, enjoy watching the scenery around me, and just unwind and relax my senses.

The brother's coming over here to my place to spend the night. The parents are coming over to KL to pick us up from my place. And we might spend a night at Malacca tomorrow, since we are all so free. Teehee.

Life's good.

For the time being, happy holidays people!

argh

I'm such a damsel in distress.

Having this anxiety over something very very small.

You won't even believe your ears.

It's seriously torturing me. Mentally i mean.

Gotta look up to the ceiling every 30 seconds.

BECAUSE THERE IS A DAMN COCKROACH NEAR THE AIR-COND IN MY ROOM!

Dang!

This proves that i'm such a girl at heart, no?

If only the boyfriend is here right now, he would help me kill the cockroach immediately. My guy housemate is afraid of cockroaches. Guys are not supposed to be afraid of anything, especially small tiny little creatures like cockroaches. Thank god the boyfriend is a real guy as he's not afraid of anything. Teehee.

Tonight, it will be only me and the cockroach accompanying each other.

and there it is.

Week 8. This week is already week 8 on the Monash academic calendar. How time flies because i feel like i'm still in week 5. This is a bad feeling of course. o.O Oh well, i'll eventually come to accept the truth that i'm actually more than half way through this semester.

*scratches head

By the way, when i was about to hand in my assignment on Monday afternoon, i saw Najib! Yes, Najib the deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia at Monash! He was there for the official opening ceremony of Monash University Malaysia. I heard there were other big shots there as well. Pretty excited when he turned to my direction but i didn't manage to take a photograph of him. He has too many bodyguards la. o.O

It's not everyday that i can see a high-profile politician in real life. That explains why i get a bit too excited. Heh.

Anyhow, the first wave of assignment is officially OVER! Yup, so i'll be free for two weeks, and then it's the start of the second wave of assignment (this time, MAJOR) again. So far, i've been enjoying life quite a bit.

In the last 48 hours, i've been to...

- Dragon-i @ Sunway Pyramid

- Telawi Street Bistro @ Bangsar

- Bangsar Village

-Midvalley Megamall (Watched The Secret.)

The Secret has a pretty unique plot. Jay Chow's acting was pretty stiff though, but the old wooden grand piano was very elegant! Chose to watch this movie because it's all about the piano. Suddenly i miss playing the piano at home.... the black and white keys that produce beautiful music. (:

Appreciating classical music is just like appreciating any piece of art work. So yeah, it's all in the name of art. ;)

And oh, guess what?

I GOT THE GREEN LIGHT FROM MY PARENTS TO GO LANGKAWI WITH THE BOYFRIEND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tell me, what is better than that? :D

We'll be going to Langkawi (no, it's not a honeymoon =p) with his friends and his friends' friends which rounds up to 8 people. Will be heading there in early december. CAN'T FREAKING WAIT!!! :D Now, it's all up to the boyfriend to book the flights and accommodation, and off we go! Langkawi! We can drink and dance and party all night long under the beautiful stars by the beach! (:

empty-nest syndrome.

Friday was Malaysia's Independence Day. To put it in local terms, it's called the Merdeka.

Seriously, this year's Merdeka was too much of a big hoo-hah. It's just too much. I hate it when they blast loud patriotic songs when i'm still sleeping. It really pissed me off. Especially the song - Tanggal 31. Grrrrrrr. What a lousy Merdeka morning.

Thank God, things got better after that. (: Mummy, Aunty Yoke Chang and Li wei dropped by at my place to pick me up for shopping. Headed straight to 1U from my place, and boy, it was PACKED with people. Managed to find something that i've wanted for a long, long time.

*all smiles

It was too lovely to resist, some more it's my favourite Tinkerbell. =D

P.S.: For those of you who are still in the dark, i'm obsessed with Tinkerbell. Hehe.

At Diva, One Utama:

(was browsing through the stuff there...and then suddenly...)

Me: OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD!

*rubs eyes

Me: It's my Tinkerbell!!

*quickly asked her mother to take a look at it

The mother: See what?

Me: SEE THIS! THIS! THIS! It's my TINKERBELL! OH MY GOD.

The mother: Oh...okay...

*touches it

Me: Can i have it? I LOVE TINKERBELL SO MUCH. You also know right?

*manja a lil

Mummy: Hmm......

*thinks a while... and then...
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Mummy: OK LAR. BUY LAR BUY LAR.

Me: THANK YOU MUMMY! :D

I guess it's the empty-nest syndrome. She misses me too much. Teehee. The empty-nest syndrome was quoted by the father. Last night, during dinner, Uncle Matthew asked him how come he suddenly decided to come over to KL for the weekend, the father replied: "It's the empty-nest syndrome. I don't want my kids to forget about me."

And yeah, empty-nest syndrome it is. Also known as ENS. ;)

All the parents do in KL is to eat, shop, eat, shop, and visit their two kids in KL. Life is getting better for them i suppose. Heh.
